Austin’s background includes significant experience in both academic and practical applications. During his time at Auburn University, he specialized in cutting-edge research on using small drones for terrestrial modeling. After earning his B.A. and Master’s degree in Geography, he taught GIS, cartography, and drones-in-public safety courses at Florida State University. At FSU, Austin also served as a field researcher and instructor for the Disaster Incident Research Team, contributing to regional disaster response efforts through advanced drone operations.
